Stephen Caldwell it's not the cell phones. It's the lack of places to do things like that. Both my kids asked for roller skates and then realized there was no where to do it.

I use to enjoy ice skating there with my friends. I had issues with my feet and sometimes could only go once or twice around and then I would have to take my skates off, rest and then start again. I use to watch the roller skaters next door through the windows.

In 1962 the Mutual Street Arena was converted to a roller skating rink and a curling club known as the Terrace. For all the young folks the roller skating rink was a very popular spot.
