스포츠. 경쟁자가 있으면 상호발전. 메시와 호나우도. 루니 견해 "메시가 호나우도 보다 더 좋은 선수"

프로 스포츠야 워낙 고연봉, 그리고 대기업들의 '소유물'이기 때문에, 자본주의 시장 논리가 관철된다. 하지만 완전히 자본논리만 작동하는 것은 아니다. 왜냐하면 일상 생활에서 수많은 사람들이 축구를 하면서 건강과 친목을 도모하고 있기 때문이다. 

 

공정 담론과 연관해서, 스포츠에서 '공정 경쟁'에 대해, 경쟁자들의 경우, 메시와 호나우도 논쟁이 있다. 난 정말 모르겠다. 둘 중에 누가 더 뛰어난 축구 선수인지. 둘 다 배울 점이 많이 때문이다.

 

실제 메시와 호나우도는 사이가 좋다고 호나우도가 말했다.  15년간 두 사람이 이렇게 경기장에서 서로 경쟁하는 것은 보기 드물다고. 스포츠에서 경쟁자가 있다는 건 흥행요소이기도 하고, 축구 발전에도 좋다. 

 

 

웨인 루니의 평가는 어떠한가?

 

2016년 잉글랜드 국가대표 웨인 루니와 호나우도는 맨체스터 유나이티드에서 같이 선수생활을 했다.

그럼에도 루니는 리오넬 메시가 크리스티앙 호나우도보다 더 나은 선수라고 평했다.

 

메시가 호나우도보다 더 뛰어난 축구선수인 이유는 1) 메시가 평온한 자신감 (composure)를 가지고 있다

2) 볼을 세게 강하게 차지 않고, 볼을 굴리면서 쉽게 편안하게 골을 넣는다. 

 

공차는 양식의 차이지만, 위 두 가지 점에서 메시가 호나우도보다 더 뛰어나다고 웨인 루니는 평가했다.

 

"(웨인 루니의 인터뷰) 메시의 컴포우져 - 평온한 자신감-. 메시가 골을 넣을 때는 공을 세게 찰 때가 아니다. 메시는 볼을 굴려서 아주 쉽게 만들어 골을 넣는다" "호나우도는 경기장 박스에서 인정사정없는 킬러다. 그러나 메시는 너를 죽이기 전에 고문하는 스타일이다. 메시 축구를 보면 그가 축구를 즐기면서 공을 찬다는 것을 알 수 있다. " 

 

호나우도의 생각은 ?

 

물론 2015년 BBC 인터뷰에서, 호나우도는 메시보다 자기가 더 뛰어난 선수라고 자신있게 선언했다.

 

2019년에는, 호나우도가 말하는 자기와 메시의 차이점. 그리고 더 나은 이유.

축구 클럽 (맨유, 레알 마드리드 등)을 옮겨다니면서 리그와 챔피언스 우승을 한 점.

챔스언스 리그 6회 연속 최다득점자. 5회 챔스언스 리그 우승 경험자임을 들어, 호나우도는 자기가 메시보다 더 훌륭한 선수라고 자평했다.

He might have played with Cristiano Ronaldo for six years during his time at Old Trafford but former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney thinks that Lionel Messi is the better player.

Back in 2016, Rooney was answering a series of questions at Old Trafford and one of the biggest debates in world football popped up - Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?

The former England international answers honestly, but we can't help but notice his facial expression throughout. He looks like that naughty kid who just done something wrong in class.


Some may have presumed Rooney would favour his former teammate but he chose six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi - a decision that shocked many.
Rooney and Ronaldo produced moments of magic when playing in the same United side together. The pair tore it up at Old Trafford, and the connection they built throughout the years was like no other.

But the decision remains; Lionel Messi is the greatest ever.

In fact, in his Sunday Times column last year, he once again sparked the debate with his GOAT decision.

"Ronaldo wasn't as focused on goals when we started playing together but you could see that all he wanted was to be the best player in the world," Rooney wrote.

"He practised and practised and began to produce. Cristiano has become an incredible scorer and he and Messi are arguably the best two players the game has seen.


"But despite my friendship with Cristiano, I'd go for Messi.

"It's for the same reason I loved watching Xavi and Scholes: it's the different things in Messi's game. I've talked about composure and I can't remember seeing Messi score when he has hit the ball as hard as he could. He just rolls them in, makes it so easy.

"Ronaldo is ruthless in the box, a killer. But Messi will torture you before he kills you. With Messi you just get the impression he is having more fun.

"Those two have completely changed the game in terms of goalscoring numbers and I don't think they'll ever be matched."

Cristiano Ronaldo believes he is better than Lionel Messi because he has enjoyed success at multiple clubs.

Ronaldo and Messi are widely considered the two best footballers in the world, and among the greatest of all time.

The Portuguese and Argentine have won 10 of the last 11 Ballon d'Ors, with each player scooping five apiece.

But Ronaldo, who is now aiming to win the Champions League with Juventus having already triumphed in the competition at Manchester United and Real Madrid, believes he has the edge over Messi, who has spent his whole career at Barcelona. 

"The difference between me and him is that I went to different clubs and won the Champions League,” Ronaldo told DAZN.

“I have been Champions League top scorer six times in a row.

“There are many players who have won the cup five times. I identify myself with this competition.

“Messi is an excellent player, he will not only be remembered for the Ballon d'Or but also for being always at the top, year after year, like me."
